“Sabrina’s presentations are always filled with practical information that we can start implementing right away.”
Looking to bring a wellbeing focus to your organization? How about learning to enhance the team's communication and effectiveness? Want to support your employees in reducing their stress or reconnecting to their work satisfactions? Then consider one of these trainings for your team.

Using the Myers Briggs to Enhance Team & Individual Effectiveness at Work (2.5 - 3 hours)
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a powerful personality assessment tool to that can assist with communication, teambuilding, leadership, productivity, and even increased enjoyment in work. Through this tool you can gain self-awareness including a better understanding of your unique strengths and potential growing edges, as well as how personality differences can impact the way you work.

In this highly engaging and eye-opening session you will learn what your MBTI type is and what that means for you including:
  • Gain heightened awareness of your own work style and preferred ways of working with others
  • Increase understanding about how you prefer to receive information and make decisions
  • Recognize normal personality differences and develop flexibility during interactions to work more effectively with clients, coworkers and supervisors.
  • Understand how personality type impacts communication, collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Learn how to get your own work-related needs met by adapting your style to different situations and circumstances.
During the session you will get to confirm your 4-letter MBTI type and learn more about the tool through exercises and case studies that are relevant to your work.  Before the session, we ask that you take a version of the Myers Briggs found here: www.16personalities.com.

Building Resilience to Handle Everyday Stress (1-1.5 hours)
Can stress harm your productivity and effectiveness at work? Unfortunately, the answer is yes. When we feel heightened stress, our sympathetic nervous system goes into that fight or flight state. In this state, our brains are foggy, and we see fewer options. This means our problem-solving abilities are compromised.

On the flip side, shifting a little focus to your well-being can put you in a more calm, clear-headed, optimal place.

This mind-set shift (and activation of the parasympathetic nervous system) can help you not only to be more effective during your everyday work, but also help you to be more focused, creative, and even a better teammate. Join us for a hands-on, experiential session to explore this topic and engage in some positive psychology and mindfulness-based practices to bring you back to your "best self."

Mindfulness, Positive Psychology & Neuroscience to Help Yourself & Your Students/Clients (2.5-3 hours)
Are you feeling the stress and anxiety of these difficult times? Are you looking for new tools to help your students/clients to cope better with stress and uncertainty? Have you ever used mindfulness practices to feel calmer, and gain more clarity?

How about tapping into positive psychology?

During this webinar, we’ll talk about how stress and anxiety impact us as well as our clients. Next, we’ll explore the emerging areas of mindfulness and positive psychology, applying tips from these fields to manage our stress. We’ll even throw in a bit of neuroscience, to keep things interesting! Beyond building our resilience to manage stress better, we’ll segue into new mindfulness-based tools and creative techniques to use during your client coaching/advising sessions.
        Activities and Topics will include:
        ·       Get a Boost from Your Past – When our self-esteem is dipping, we can use this exercise to gain more confidence and
                renewed energy.
        ·       Face Your Fear, Free Your Energy – Explore your worst-case scenario and face those fears, as a means to getting
unstuck and freeing up that energy that is being wasted on worry.
        ·       Bull’s Eye Exercise – An insightful and comprehensive tool for decision making, whether that be choosing a major,
deciding on a career path, or another topic of importance.
        ·       The Chair Exercise – One more tool for decision making, especially useful with deciding on a job offer.

Reconnecting to Your Own Career Journey & Connecting with Your Teammates (2 hours)
Our worlds have been turned upside down these past several years. We have each had to focus our energy on everyone else: students, alums, colleagues, family and friends. But what about you? For a well needed change, this session will provide the space and breathing room to pause and assess your own work life. We will use mindfulness, reflection and journal writing to tap into what you love about your work and what talents make you feel alive.  You will then break into small groups to share what you discover. Flow, values, and daily gratitude are some of the concepts we will discuss as paths to increased happiness and engagement at work. This extended session features an additional team building component, which includes some pre-work.

The Incubator Lab for Career Development Professionals: Get Inspired & Turn Ideas into Action
Have you ever had any of these thoughts?

“I love to brainstorm, but I lose energy when it comes to the discipline of implementing.”

“I’d like to reflect on what parts of my work I really care about, so I could align my energy in the best way.”

“What I’d like to do is come up with a new strategy for our [social media, appointment booking, employer relations, career fair marketing, etc.], and get input from others to make it even better.”

“I’ve got lots of ideas, but it would be nice to bounce them off other people outside my organization.”

Now imagine getting to spend a couple of hours generating new ideas or strategy, and taking those ideas beyond conception, to a more concrete level, including feedback from others.

The “incubator stage” of a new start-up signifies the beginning; new ideas, hope, excitement, possibilities, and freedom.  Putting the incubator principle into an intensive, hands-on workshop, is what we have in store for you.

Look inward. As a first step, we’ll do an exercise to help you clarify what you love.  You’ll be looking at what parts of your work are the most rewarding and what future projects you might want to put your energy into.

Be Inspired.  Next, we’ll share some inspiration.  Each participant will be asked to share something exciting, innovative or interesting that you heard about at a conference, from a colleague or that you contributed to in your own organization.

Brainstorm.  Come to this session with some ideas for projects you want to work on, or come with an open mind and expect to get creative.

Get Feedback.  Your fellow “lab participants” will act as your “start-up” project advisors as you generate ideas and move forward.

Turn Ideas into Action.  You’ll have the gift of time during the session to begin working on your ideas.  If it’s a new workshop that you are developing, you’ll spend time in the lab, actually working on the PowerPoint itself.  If you are working on a benchmarking research project, you’ll be encouraged to put together an outline and start the research on the spot. You are welcome to come to this session full of ideas that you want to hash out, or come with an open mind and be excited by what pops up and unfolds.
"I wasn't even sure if I should attend this workshop, but I am so glad I did. The exercises gave me the time I needed to work on a personal and important goal, which for me, had a transformational outcome. We career specialists spend so much time helping others, and rarely take the time we need to help ourselves. Take this workshop if you can; it has the ability to engage you in a powerful way."
~Leigh Mundhenk, Ph.D., Founder/Consultant, WorkConcepts & Former Associate Professor, University of Southern Maine
“The Incubator Lab was a fantastic opportunity to share and ignite creative ideas. It was helpful to have time, space and a supportive environment to work on our projects, share thoughts/ideas with others and gain a fresh prospective. This was my second workshop with Sabrina, I love her facilitation style and ability to create a comfortable space and meaningful workshop.”
