Building Resilience to Handle Everyday Stress (1-1.5 hours)
Can stress harm your productivity and effectiveness at work? Unfortunately, the answer is yes. When we feel heightened stress, our nervous systems goes into that fight or flight state. In this state, our brains are foggy, and we see fewer options. This means our problem solving abilities are compromised.
On the flip side, shifting a little focus to your well-being can put you in a more calm, clear-headed, optimal place. This mind-set shift (and activation of the parasympathetic nervous system) can help you not only to be more effective during your everyday work, but also help you to be more focused, creative, and even a better teammate. Join us for a hands-on, experiential session to explore this topic and engage in some positive psychology and mindfulness-based practices to bring you back to your "best self."

"Sabrina Wood’s presentation was phenomenal! I was impressed by Sabrina's willingness to share some of her personal challenges. Her honesty created a safe, non-judgmental space where participants felt comfortable opening up about their own experiences. After identifying several of the most common stressors, Sabrina provided effective, actionable steps and strategies to reduce and manage our stress. I left the session feeling more relaxed and empowered to manage my stressors. Thank you, Sabrina!"

Building Resilience to Manage School and/or Job Search Stress (1-1.25 hours)
We are still in uncharted territory with the pandemic and the unknowns about the economy and job market. We have been through an extended period of concern and worry. This situation can lead to an increase in levels of stress (and spikes in our cortisol) that can adversely impact our well-being and our effectiveness. However, there are some things you can do. In this interactive webinar we’ll discuss details about how stress impacts us, as well as how mindfulness practices and positive psychology principles can help.
Practicing various forms of mindfulness can reduce your stress and move you towards being healthier, more productive, and calmer during times of uncertainty. These practices are being capitalized upon by CEOs, not to mention being used to transform whole school systems. We’ll also widen the topic to include a bit of neuroscience, to help you move yourself out of that “fight or flight” state and into one that is more sustainable and more effective.
You’ll learn techniques to:
· Lower your stress - with tips that fit into an already busy schedule
· Approach big decisions (like career issues) feeling more calm and confident
· Use visualization to enhance interview and presentation success
The aim of this session is to give you fresh ideas to help you understand your stress and build resilience to reduce its impact on your life.

Clearing out “Life Clutter” - Spring Cleaning for the Self (1.5 hours)
Have you ever bought a new jacket, opened the hall closet to put it away, only to realize that it’s not going to fit? When your home gets too full or too messy, you sometimes commit to a day of "spring cleaning." What happens, though, when your life gets too full? Do you review what is needed and what isn't? Or, do you just squeeze a bit more in, even if it stresses you out? This workshop is your chance to do a little spring cleaning of the self. A chance to examine what gives you energy as well as what saps you. You’ll see more clearly what puts a smile on your face, and what's producing frown lines. And with awareness, you get the power to make choices and changes in how you spend your time
